About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced House Manager/Domestic Maid from Kenya to join a warm and welcoming family in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a passion for domestic work and a love for pets to contribute to a harmonious household environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent housekeeping skills, a caring attitude towards pets, and a respectful demeanor towards all household members and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Housekeeping:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic living environment.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Hand wash all laundry items, including undergarments, before machine washing.
• Ensure all clothing and linens are ironed, folded, and stored properly.

1. Pet Care:
   • Provide daily care for the family's two pet dogs, including feeding, grooming, and walking.
   • Maintain cleanliness of pet areas and ensure pets are healthy and happy.
2. Collaboration and Respect:
   • Work harmoniously with other household staff, ensuring a respectful and cooperative environment.
   • Follow instructions from the family and adhere to their preferences and routines.
   • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of the family at all times.
3. Other Duties:
   • Assist with meal preparation and kitchen duties as needed.
   • Run errands and perform other domestic tasks as required by the family.

Requirements:

• Education:
  • Must possess a valid Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E).
• Documentation:
  • Valid passport for international travel.
  • Medical certification confirming good health.
  • Yellow Fever vaccination certificate.
  • Certificate of Good Conduct from Kenyan authorities.

Skills and Attributes:

• Proven experience in housekeeping and domestic work.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle and care for pets with compassion and patience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Respectful, honest, and trustworthy demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Contract Details:

• The position is for a one-year contract, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and family needs.
• If the contract is completed satisfactorily, the family will cover the cost of the return fare to Kenya.
• The monthly salary for this position is KES 20,000, which will be paid at the end of every month.
